Lee/Lea, Ballard; White; Jones

Lee/Lea, Ballard; White; Jones    valella
I’ve hit the old brick wall for the parents of any of the following people: Johnson Jones (b. 2/3/1822 Tn.d. 11/16/1890 Al) m. Sarah Holloway (b.4/23/1823 Tn. d. 7/7/1893 Al.). William Muriel Ballard (b.ABT 1807 Tn. d. 1863 Jackson Co. AL) m. Emily Milly Lee (b.ABT 1810 Tn. d. 1870 Al.) John White (b.1798 S.C. d. 1863 Al) m. Clara Keith (b. 1800 S.C. d. 1880 Al.) donated the land for Whitehall Cemetery in Valley Head, was probably in Tn and/or Ga also. Came to Wills Valley ABT. 1830 These are my ggg grandparents and I keep finding the Lee/Lea, Ballard, White and Jones names together in Va. Ky, North and South Carolina, Ga and Tn which is where my ancestors lived. Any information would be appreciated.

Re: Lee/Lea, Ballard; White; Jones arnichols
I see where you wrote that you found some Ballards in the KY area. My aunt married a Harlie Ballard from Monroe Co., Kentucky, but I don’t know much about his family.

Walter and James Lea
VB
For all who have been researching Walter and James Lea, I came across this interesting item: Feb 18, 1840 Ordered by the court William Lea be appointed guardian of Walter and James Lea minor heirs of James Lea deceased resident of McMinn County Tennessee.
William Lea is authorized to take in to special care and possession the aforesaid Walter and James Lea. Now, it has been supposed that Mirah Lea has two sons and not married. However, the above record, somewhere in the DeKalb Co AL court house says different. That Walter and James Lea’s father was James Lea and he died before Feb 18, 1840. This record also indicates that William Lea, guardian of the two boys, probably was a brother. And that McMinn Co TN would be the place to look for more information on Mirah and James Lea. I am guessing here but perhaps William Lea is the same one that married Elizabeth Ballard. Was Elizabeth Ballard a sister to the Ballard that married Mirah Lea? I am still looking for the original document to confirm.
